In another post to this forum some bloggers feel that Tammy Hall aka Tammara Hall is a great leader.

The common thread between these great leaders is that they were decisive at their moment of truth.

Please allow me to share with you a few things that you may not know about the leadership traits of one Tammy Hall aka Tamara Hall.

When the County Employees (That would be the Staff) that have to serve the Commissioners and the public are having to wade through the countless memorandums from Tammy or Tamara on how she would like to be addressed if the staff was addressing the board with an agenda item first as a Commissioner and later as Chairperson that is a serious problem with decision making. The Staff needs to be working on serving the needs of you and me, the public taxpayers that pay their salary not reading memorandums about how they must address the commissioners.

One memorandum that was sent by Ms. Hall was instructing staff to address her as "Madam Chairman" the next was "Madam Chairperson" the next finally made its way to Chairperson Hall. I am sure you get the point. These memorandums actually exist and as with all things government are matters of public record.

Tammy or Tammara is yet another example. Ms. Hall sent another memorandum out that said any correspondence prepared by staff that required her signature was to have her signature block as Tammara Hall. Not one week later she sent another saying Tammy Hall. (I think she wasted a bunch of taxpayer money on paper by practicing signing her name and could not get it the way she wanted.)

If Tammy or Tamara can not decide these simple things then she has a serious decision making problem. That is a flaw in her character that can not be fixed. You are either decisive or you are not.

Now if Ms. Hall has a problem deciding on how she should sign her name the state of Florida makes that real easy for all of us. Tammy aka Tammara can reference her driver’s license as this document is supposed to have your legal name on it and you are to sign it as shown. This is a simple decision making process, not anything over the top.

Next item, if you cornered the other commissioners with nobody else around and asked them why they voted Tammy or Tammara as Chairperson they would say so they did not have to put up with her questions and comments. Yes Madam Chair, oops Chairperson Hall runs the meetings but that is why we use "Roberts Rules of Order." That is not leadership; that is following "Roberts Rules of Order." Please do not get the two confused.

It is the other commissioners that get to actually discuss the agenda items and as Chairperson it is her job to entertain the motions and votes; she does get to break all ties which is a responsibility of the position of Chairperson not leadership.

Next, this is a little known fact however late last year the commissioners voted to buy a piece of property for public use that was appraised at just over $4 Million Dollars. They including Ms. Hall ignored the recommendations of staff and paid over $16 Million Dollars for the property.

When asked, Chairperson Hall could only say “yes we paid that much for it.” “Yes we ignored our staff recommendation and we needed to make sure we got that property for the good of the community.”

They got it alright, at a cost nearly four times the appraised value with no other buyer bidding against them.

If any of you Tammy Hall aka Tammara Hall supporters agree with this expenditure and would like to pay four times the appraised value for my property we need to meet right away.

You really don't want a commissioner that is as indecisive on simple things like how to sign her name and one who overspends your tax money like the example I gave serving the citizens of Lee County do you?

Further, if you ask staff what they like they would tell you "consistent leadership." If Ms. Hall can not decide on simple things she is incapable of making important decisions that have major effects on our community. These are just plain facts.

Webster’s defines Leader as:

A person or thing that leads; directing, commanding, or guiding head, as of a group or activity.

Webster’s defines Decisive as:

Having the quality of decision; showing determination or firmness.

These are not ways to describe this candidate.

Again, Tammy or Tammara could not lead a horse to water if she had the animal standing on the beach.

P.S. Ms. Hall, Tammy or Tammara please stop sending me your campaign post cards you are wasting your builders and developers campaign dollars.
